The most romantic gesture I've got from my boyfriend was the first time I went over to his
house he grabbed me by the hand, and we took a walk. A train was coming, so he sat down on
this little hill, and asked me to sit in his lap and watch the train pass by with him. At
first I was like, what is this, but when I sat in his lap, and the train was passing by, I
felt so at ease and protected by him. It was the beginning of a great love affair, and
even though it was our first night out with each other it felt like we've been together
forever...

I was dating a guy who's last name was "howell" !! I never even thought twice
about it... until one day we got in a HUGE fight and he wrote me that night the sweetest

It would have to be Valentine's Day '97. I was so upset that I was missing my school
formal (the first one that I had ever been to). I was really upset because I was the one
organizing the formal and two days before it, I came down with the chicken pox! My
boyfriend had already bought the tickets so I told him to go ahead and go without me. He
said it would be no fun but I finally persuaded him. So on Valentine's Day, I was sitiing
alone at home happy that my boyfriend had gone but I wished he was there with me...
suddenly the doorbell rang and when I opened the door, there was my boyfriend with a dozen
purple roses (my favorite colour) and a whole band of people behind him playing our song!
I was so happy I invited them all in, when the band had finally gone, my boyfriend pulled
out a bracelet and on it was written I luv thee! (He knew how I loved the movie
"Romeo and Juliet"! We've been together a year and 2 months now, and I'm gonna
marry him!

My boyfriend led me to a place where he told me to close my eyes and wait for him to say
when I could open them. When I turned around, I was surprised to find a huge teddy bear
and gifts lit by candlelight. Our song was playing, too. It was my 15th birthday. I cry at

Along with some special gifts, my boyfriend took me out for a movie and dinner at Mr.
Greek on my 17th birthday. (I really get spoiled huh?) And while I was pulling out our
chairs at the table and taking my jacket off, Manny was speaking Greek to the waitor. I
had no clue as to what he was saying. After the yummy meal while we were waiting for the
check out comes several waiters with a slice of cheesecake and a candle singing
"Happy Birthday!" I could believe it! He had told them it was my day. Everyone
was clapping around us and i was blushing. It was the sweetest thing ever.

The most romantic gesture I've ever received was from the person I'm currently dating. My
birthday was in December, and he flew in from Tahoe on a red-eye to see me. I had to work
part of the evening so while I was at work he baked me a cake and made supper for me from
the things he found in my apartment. He had balloon taped up everywhere, and the table was
set very nicely when I arrived home. It was the nicest thing anyone's done for my
birthday.

Valentine's Day, '97, my boyfriend called me up saying that he wouldn't be able to see me
'cuz he had allergies. I told him that it may be a little bit disappointing, but I told
him to just take a rest. Then, four hours later, he called me up again saying that he's
coming over. It was snowing, so I told him that he doesn't have to. But he insisted, so he
did come. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see him with a dozen of red roses.
His face wasn't all red either, and I was impressed. Even at the greatest risk, he won't
stop at anything just to see me and be with me. Then after that, he took me out to a fancy
dinner and watched a movie.
It was so romantic.

Any effort, when he goes out of his way to show his affection is romantic,no matter what
it is. After one of my boyfriend's spccer games, we dropped by a 7-11 with some of his
team-mates for Double big gulps, as we often do. I stayed in the car as he went in and
when he came out to the car he gave me a rose. It caught me totally off-guard. It's nice
to know he was thinking of me.

My boyfriend Chris has done many romantic things for me... flowers, candy, cards.... but
one of the most romantic and meaningful things was before our offical first date. We had
been talking for about 3 months. I was going to go to Florida for 4 days. I told him how I
was going to miss him so much, and I wish I had something to remind me of him while I am
away. Well, he works with my dad, and my dad got home from work with an envelope for me.
Inside was a letter and a bracelet. He gave me the bracelet to wear while I was gone so I
could remember him. It wasn't just any bracelet though. It was a gift from his father back
in Ecuador that he gave him 6 years ago when he visited his dad when he was sick. He wore
it everyday. He took it off for the first time to give it to me for the weekend. I still
have the bracelet on to this day.

My boyfriend and I like to explore the net together via ICQ. I had been expecting his
necklace in the mail, and on the day I got it, he told me he wanted to go exploring again.
Anyways, he said lets only go to this one page though, because it is really good. And we
went there. It was a cyberchapel. He told me he loved me and asked me if we wanted to 'do
it.' Of course I agreed! Anyways, we got virtually married, exchanging virtual vows. He
told me he removed the words 'take her to be your virtual wedded wife' and put in the
words 'lawful wedded wife'. I about melted! Then he said "wear my necklace until the
day I can put a REAL wedding ring on your finger. The day I really do make you my lawful
wedded wife." He is so romantic, and I love him to death! :)

The most romantic gesture I ever received was from my new husband. He wrote me a poem
about his love for me and how it grew, and would never die. Along with it, to demonstrate,
he gave me a real long stem rose that had been dipped totally in 14 K gold. The rose
symbolized that his love would never die, just like that gold rose.

The most romantic thing that a guy ever did for me was about 2 months ago. We were about
to get in his truck to head out home. He was already in his truck, seatbelt on and the
truck was on. As I was about to get up in the truck, I noticed that the door was locked. I
tapped on the window, for him to reach out and unlock the door. But as a surprise, he walk
up to my door, with his keys in his hands and unlocked the door himself!!! That guy's into
country music and I'm not. But as we were heading home, he looked at me and asked,
"What do you wanna listen to?" I told him that country was good. Hey, after what
he did for me, I couldn't ask him to put on my kind of music. But he just looked at me and
said, "Hey, I'm putting on the music for you, not for me. What do you wanna listen
to?" It was the most wonderful thing a guy has ever done for me. No need to say that
I love him with all my heart.

and it was tough to even talk to him at first. The most romantic gesture, however, was

My boyfriend, Chris and I have been together on and off for almost four years. We have
been through some good times and bad but we are still together. We live in different parts
of the state so we mail a lot of things to keep in touch. Yesterday I recieved a box in
the mail from him. Inside a card said "call me when you get this." I called him
and asked him what was going on. The only thing in the package was a small black box. He
told me to open the box. Inside was a silver heart pendent necklace. He said that when his
dad met his mom he bought her a necklace. She wore it always. When he (Chris) turned 19
his parents gave him the necklace. His father told him that when he found someone who made
him as happy as his wife did then to give it to them. Chris felt that I was that special
someone. The necklace is 25 years old and it still looks beautiful. I wear it everyday.
Did I mention that I cried the whole time he was telling me the story?

one day my new girlfriend and i went to the mall where we shopped around a little....out
of nowhere margarita kisses my cheek and then my lips right in the middle of the rush of
people. we later went to the movies and saw romeo and juliet..after which she pulls out
this bag of stuff for me from the mall for christmas...i was so happy so later that night
as we were talking we started to kiss...i began to act out the romeo and juliet play
later, and we sat and talked for hours and we both cried for we were so in love....she
later took me to the beach where she light a fire and cuddled with me near the ocean...it
was the most precious time of my whole life

On July 1st, I was kissed on the hand for the first time in my life... and I'm 34 years
old. Not only was I kissed on the hand, but sometimes I doubt my looks because while
growing up, my sister, who is a light shade of brown that I, always referred to m e as
"blackie." She also said I had a fat face. In addition, my name was sooooo long
to me that I always had a complex about it. It was not until I turned 18, went into the
Army and realized that my skin is brown, my face if full and my name has a fant astic
history, that I realized that I am BLACK AND BEAUTIFUL. BUT sometimes the old mindset gets
in the way and doubt sets in.
Anyhow, not only did the gentleman kiss my hand, but prior to, as I approached him, he did
a double-take. I am sure the smile on my face was like a 100 watt lightbulb!

The most romantic gesture that I have ever received was when my fiance proposed. We were
at the mall together and he had made the last payment on the ring (I didn't know about
it). Apparently he couldn't contain himself in order to create a romantic set ting for the
proposal and stopped me in the Montgomery Ward furniture department. He sat me in one of
their recliners and got on one knee and proposed. I thought it was cute that it was
'burning a hole' in his pocket and he couldn't wait!

The most romantic thing that anyone has ever done for me is when they found out what a
rough time I was going through being away from home for the first time, they took me out
for dinner, and surprised me with my best friend sitting at the table. He had found her
number in my room and called her up. She was not too far from us, and he went to pick her
up, and bring her over just to make me feel better about being away from home.
