There is no vaccine that exist for the Ebola virus. Those that are infected need intensive
care. They need intravenous fluids because they are constantly dehydrated. There are
many special precautions that must be used to control the outbreak of Ebola.
Gloves, masks and suits are needed for doctors and researchers when working with an Ebola
victim. Proper sterilization techniques of equipment is also practiced. An
infected person must be isolated. All disposable materials are burned, any reusable
materials and work area are sterilized after use. Corpses must also be dealt with
carefully and properly too.
