Sabbath- Seventh day of the week, Sunday for Christians

Sacrament- An outward sign, inward grace and the institution by Jesus Christ

Sacrifice- Giving up something that is valued a lot by a person or offering of animal to God for special favor or sign

Saint- Someone who has done something really good for the benefit of others, A person is declared a saint by the Pope after a certain period of time

Sanctuary- A church, a place where a person can take refuge. A holy place

Satin- A bad angel, a devil

Scribe- A person who writes.

Scriptures- Religious documentation

Sister- Nun

Sin- Tuning away from God's love. Doing something wrong. There are two types of sin mortal Sin and venial sin. Mortal sin is doing something seriously wrong e.g. killing, adultery etc. While venial sin is doing something wrong, but it is a minor thing e.g. lying, disrespect for your mother and father etc.

Soul-The spiritual part of a person. It is the essence of life. It is what you are left with after you die.

Spirit- Ghost of dead person or Holy Spirit as in the Holy Trinity

Stations of the Cross- A group of events describing what happened Jesus while he was on his was to get crucified

Synagogue- Jewish place of worship
